Melinda G. Rath

Melinda G. Rath is a Wealth Advisor in Glenmede’s Philadelphia office. In this role, she is responsible for providing thoughtful wealth management advice, solutions for fiduciary, charitable, financial, and wealth transfer planning, and trust and account administration. Ms. Rath partners with investment, tax and wealth planning colleagues to understand client goals, provide tailored guidance and ensure clients’ wealth management objectives are fulfilled.

Prior to joining Glenmede Ms. Rath was Senior Vice President and Legal Counsel at American Guaranty & Trust Company, where her duties included drafting and reviewing trust agreements, estate planning, and administering trust accounts. Before that, she was employed at Mesirov, Gelman, Jaffe, Cramer and Jamieson as an attorney in the Estate and Tax Department.

Ms. Rath received her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science from Washington College and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law.

Ms. Rath is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey Bar Associations. She has lectured on probate, fiduciary management, and estate administration. She is a past President of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and currently serves on the Program Committee and Ethics Committee. Ms. Rath is also a member of the Newsletter Committee of the Probate Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. In addition, she is a member of the Corporate Fiduciaries Association of Philadelphia.
