Matthew J. Cross, CFA^®, is a Portfolio Manager in Glenmede’s Philadelphia office. In this role, he is responsible for providing investment advice, asset allocation and ongoing portfolio management for Glenmede clients. Mr. Cross partners with advisory, tax and wealth planning colleagues to understand client goals, provide tailored guidance and ensure clients’ wealth management objectives are fulfilled.

Mr. Cross began his investment career as an Equity Research Analyst, and was instrumental in leading Glenmede’s early efforts to incorporate Modern Portfolio Theory into the investment process.

Mr. Cross earned a Masters in Business Administration degree in financial management from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a minor in economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst^® designation, he is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Philadelphia, and both the Montgomery County and Bucks County Estate Planning Councils.

Mr. Cross spearheads Glenmede’s ongoing involvement with City Year, and serves on their Philadelphia advisory board.  He is an active supporter of Special Equestrians in Warrington, Bucks County.
