Glenmede Appoints Brian Green as New Chief Investment Officer of Private Wealth

Brings Decades of Experience Managing Equity and Multi-Asset Strategies to the Role

PHILADELPHIA, PA (April 10, 2024) Glenmede, a privately held and independently owned investment and wealth management firm, today announced the appointment of Brian K. Green, CFA® as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Private Wealth, reporting to Thomas P. Melcher, Director of Private Wealth. Mr. Green will be responsible for formulating investment policy and strategy for over $29 billion* of assets under management and for ensuring that the firm’s strategic investment philosophy is reflected in client portfolios.

Mr. Green will co-chair the Private Wealth Investment Policy Committee and oversee the Portfolio Construction Consulting Group, a specialized group of professionals who support portfolio managers in their management of complex relationships. He will partner closely with both Glenmede’s Chief of Investment Strategy & Research, Jason Pride, and Glenmede’s Director of Manager Research, Elizabeth Eldridge, to maintain consistency across each of the three pillars of Glenmede’s investment process – investment strategy, portfolio construction and manager research.

Previously, Mr. Green was Glenmede’s Director of Private Wealth Portfolio Management and Associate Director of Investment Management. In that role, he was responsible for shaping Glenmede’s Private Wealth investment platform, which included developing capabilities, best practices and allocating capital across asset classes and investment strategies focused on competitive risk-adjusted returns. Earlier in his tenure at Glenmede, Mr. Green served as Director of Family Wealth, focused on building and expanding Glenmede’s capabilities for ultra-high-net-worth families.

Prior to joining Glenmede, Mr. Green spent several years as a Senior Portfolio Manager at BNY Mellon and held a variety of different roles at JPMorgan. Most notably, he was a lead adviser on some of the firm’s largest and most complex family relationships, and he developed and managed several equity and multi-asset strategies.

Mr. Green earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School and a Master of Business Administration degree from the London Business School. He also earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Mr. Green is a board member of the Committee of Seventy, an independent, nonpartisan advocate for improving the government in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania, a member of the CFA Institute and a coach with local youth football.
