Glenmede Announces Changes to Private Wealth Leadership

PHILADELPHIA, November 29, 2022 — Glenmede, a leading investment and wealth management firm overseeing more than $38 billion in assets under management, today announced that Susan Mucciarone, Executive Director of Private Wealth, will transition into a strategic advisory role at the end of December. Thomas Melcher, who currently serves as Director of Family Wealth and the New York Metro Region, will lead the Private Wealth Group starting in January of 2023. Mr. Melcher is located in Philadelphia.

Ms. Mucciarone joined Glenmede in 2010 and has worked diligently to strengthen Glenmede’s Fiduciary Practices team, expand its Family Wealth business and use of Goals Based Wealth Management, and establish its Delaware Trust Company. A hallmark of her leadership has been her commitment to building a strong team of industry experts while developing the next generation of skilled and thoughtful advisors. She will continue her association with Glenmede as a strategic advisor for key client relationships.

Mr. Melcher joined Glenmede in 2018 after a distinguished career at PNC. Mr. Melcher served as Chief Investment Officer for the Asset Management Group and Managing Executive of Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth, where he built the practice into one of the nation’s largest providers serving ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Mr. Melcher is an industry-recognized thought and practice leader and is currently Chair of the UHNW Institute Advisory Board. He also serves as an active community leader. He is past chair and current member of the Next Generation Council of the USC Shoah Foundation in Los Angeles, an advisory board member of the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., and a corporate council member of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
