Lisa M. Whitcomb is Director of Wealth Strategy for Glenmede Private Wealth. In this role, she oversees tax, estate and financial planning, and is a senior advisor for fiduciary and estate matters across all Glenmede’s offices. Ms. Whitcomb is a member of the firm’s Management Committee, an eight-member executive team responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s business strategy. She is also a member of the Private Wealth Operating Committee and a key contact for Glenmede’s strategic international alliance with Stonehage Fleming.

Prior to joining Glenmede, Ms. Whitcomb served as an Attorney in the Private Client practice group of Dechert LLP. In this role, she specialized in tax and estate planning for high net worth individuals, corporate executives, business owners and international clients. Previously, Ms. Whitcomb held various positions within the securities industry in Manhattan.

Ms. Whitcomb received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, attended the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Mount Holyoke College.

Ms. Whitcomb is an active member of the Tax Section and the Real Property, Trust and Estate Section of the American Bar Association, and has served on the Executive Committee of the Probate and Trust Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.  Ms. Whitcomb has authored numerous articles published in professional journals and writes, lectures and teaches on a wide range of tax and planning topics.  She has been cited in articles in the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal and other national publications.  

In the community, Ms. Whitcomb is an emeritus member of the Board of Directors of Turning Points for Children, a leading Philadelphia nonprofit bringing social and health services to vulnerable children and serving more than 9,000 clients. She served on TPC’s board and the Investment Committee for over two decades. Ms. Whitcomb was also a member of the Bala Cynwyd Library Board for many years.
