James J. Balazsy
James J. Balazsy, Jr. is a Credit Research Analyst for Glenmede Investment Management LP (GIM). In this role, he provides analysis on municipal issuers and oversees management of GIM’s Muni Intermediate and New Jersey Muni portfolio funds.
Prior to joining GIM, Mr. Balazsy had a 20-year career with Victory Capital Management based in Cleveland, Ohio, where he most recently served as the Director of Fixed Income Research.
Mr. Balazsy earned his B.A. in economics from Baldwin-Wallace College and a M.B.A from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management. He is a published author on the securities markets, credit analysis, time series forecasting, interest rates and economic trends and is an active member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Additionally, Mr. Balazsy was an adjunct professor of Micro and Macro Economics at Cuyahoga Community College.
Mr. Balazsy is President of the Philadelphia Area Municipal Analyst Society and serves on the Board of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Prior to relocating to Philadelphia, Mr. Balazsy served on the Board of the Ohio Municipal Advisory Council and the Cleveland Association for Business Economics.
