Glenmede Named Top Wealth Manager

Barron's Recognizes Glenmede as Top Manager

Philadelphia, September 28, 2009

PHILADELPHIA, September 28, 2009 – Glenmede, a leading investment and wealth management firm, today was named a “Top Wealth Manager” by Barron’s, a leading business and financial publication published weekly by Dow Jones.

 

Glenmede moved up the list by seven places in the annual ranking of U.S. wealth managers, which is determined by assets under management in accounts of $5 million or more. The Firm placed 23rd in 2009, up from 30th in the 2008 survey.

“We are gratified Barron’s has recognized us again this year,” said Al Piscopo, President and CEO of Glenmede.

With U.S. private client assets under management at $17 billion, and a median client account size of $10.6 million, Glenmede’s advisory business offers both “traditional and alternative” investment products according to Barron’s. The publication added that the Firm provides estate, personal, retirement and generational planning with fiduciary, tax and philanthropic services making up the Firm’s other key specialties.

The senior team of 33 portfolio managers and trust administrators operates from Glenmede’s five regional offices across Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey and Ohio.
