Glenmede – A History of Independence and Stability
The Glenmede Difference:
There’s No Substitute for Strength and Stability
Philadelphia, November 14, 2008
The strength and stability of a financial institution is more important now than it’s ever been. Glenmede, a Philadelphia-headquartered investment and wealth management firm, recently launched an advertising campaign that emphasizes that in today’s turbulent financial environment, there is no substitute for strength and stability for their target audience – individuals with at least $3 million in investable assets. Glenmede’s strength and stability is rooted in the fact that it’s been privately owned for more than 50 years with an imperative to singularly focus on its clients. This is in stark contrast to other investment management firms who, today, find themselves as subsidiaries of bank holding companies and publicly traded institutions subject to mergers and acquisitions, as well as the pressures imposed by the public markets.
"The relationship among individuals, families and their money is highly personalized rather than transactional," said Al Piscopo, President and Chief Executive Officer, of Glenmede. "We hope that this campaign allows prospective clients to understand that Glenmede is solely focused on investment and wealth management. We can demonstrate a history and a culture of thoughtful collaboration in the interest of each of our clients."
The campaign, created by Boston-based Trinity Communications, consists of both print and radio ads which emphasize that Glenmede has a unique perspective on the issues and concerns of high net worth individuals as they continue to build wealth and transfer it to the next generation.
According to Jennifer Harrington, Partner, Trinity Communications, "Unlike some wealth management firms that are wrestling to reposition and make their story relevant in this unprecedented economic environment, Glenmede, as an independent firm, has always kept client needs and concerns its sole focus. That message resonates even more today."
